Cut broccoli into 1 1/2-inch florets, discarding thick stems or halving very large ones. Pat dry with paper towels.

Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. When shimmering, add half the broccoli in a single layer. Do not stir for 4-5 minutes, until the bottoms are deeply golden and crispy.

Stir, add a pinch of salt and pepper, and cook 2-3 minutes more until tender-crisp. Transfer to a plate. Repeat with remaining 1 tablespoon oil and broccoli.
- 04
Return all broccoli to the skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, stirring constantly for 30-45 seconds until fragrant.
- 05
Add soy sauce and squeeze in lime juice. Toss to coat. Taste and adjust salt and pepper. Top with sesame seeds if using. Serve immediately.
Spice Tips
For deeper heat, increase red pepper flakes to 3/4 teaspoon or add a pinch of cayenne. For a milder version, reduce flakes to 1/4 teaspoon. A splash of fish sauce adds savory umami depth if you have it on hand.
