Gnocchi with Lemon, Garlic & Crispy Sage
Ingredients

- 4 tablespoonbutter
- 4 clovegarlic
- 12 leaffresh sage
- 1lemon
- ½ cupvegetable broth
- ½ cupparmesan cheese

Mince 4 cloves garlic

Juice 1 lemon (you need about 2–3 tablespoons)

Grate 1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add gnocchi and cook until they float to the surface and stay there for 1 minute, about 3–4 minutes total. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sage leaves, stirring until fragrant and the sage is crispy, about 2 minutes.

Pour in vegetable broth and bring to a gentle simmer. Add the cooked gnocchi and toss to coat, 1–2 minutes.

Remove from heat. Squeeze in the juice of 1 lemon, add 1/2 cup grated parmesan, and toss until creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Divide between bowls and serve immediately with a lemon wedge on the side.
Spice Tips
For deeper warmth, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the butter and garlic. A whisper of nutmeg brightens the finish without overwhelming the lemon.
For a protein boost, top with a fried egg or crumbled pancetta. You can swap the sage for fresh basil or parsley if preferred.
