Soy-Garlic Ground Beef and Broccoli Skillet
Ingredients
- 1 poundground beef
- 5 cupsbroccoli florets
- 3 tablespoonsoy sauce
- 4 clovesgarlic
- 1 tablespoonfresh ginger
- 1 tablespoonrice vinegar

- ¼ cupwater
- 1 teaspooncornstarch
- ¼ teaspoonred pepper flakes (optional)

Mince or grate 1 tablespoon fresh ginger.

Mince 4 cloves garlic.

Cut broccoli into florets (about 5 cups).
Method

Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, for 5–6 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.

Add minced garlic and ginger, and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add broccoli florets and stir to combine. Cook for 3–4 minutes until broccoli begins to soften.

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, water, and cornstarch.

Pour the sauce over the beef and broccoli. Stir well and simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and broccoli is tender-crisp.

Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve over rice or noodles.
Spice Tips
For mild heat, use ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes as listed. For more kick, increase to ½ teaspoon or add a dash of sriracha at the end. A squeeze of fresh lime juice just before serving brightens the whole dish.
Serve over steamed jasmine rice or egg noodles. Leftovers keep in the fridge for 3 days and reheat beautifully.
