Mince 3 cloves garlic and 1 tablespoon fresh ginger
- 03
Slice 2 stalks green onion
Method
- 01
Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
- 02
Add remaining 1 tablespoon oil to the skillet. Add minced garlic and ginger, and stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- 03
Add shredded cabbage and stir to combine with the beef and aromatics. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender and starting to brown at the edges.
- 04
Add soy sauce and rice vinegar. Toss everything together and cook for 1-2 minutes until the liquid is absorbed and the flavors meld.
- 05
Transfer to a serving dish. Top with sliced green onion and sesame seeds if desired. Serve hot.
Spice Tips
For more heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or drizzle with sriracha. A splash of sesame oil adds richness. For brightness, squeeze fresh lime juice over the finished dish.
Serve over steamed white or brown rice to soak up the sauce. Pairs well with a drizzle of sesame oil or sriracha on the side.
