Prep
- 01
Dice 1 yellow onion.
- 02
Mince 4 cloves garlic.
- 03
Chop a small handful of fresh parsley for garnish.
Method
- 01
Bring a large pot of salted water to boil and cook the egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- 02
While water heats, melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart as it browns, until no pink remains, about 5–7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to a plate.
- 03
In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened and golden, about 4 minutes.
- 04
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- 05
Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine. Return the cooked beef to the skillet and simmer for 2 minutes.
- 06
Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss gently until coated and heated through, about 1–2 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
- 07
Divide into bowls and garnish with fresh parsley.
Spice Tips
For deeper savory notes, add 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder or smoked paprika when you return the beef to the pan. If you like heat, a pinch of cayenne or freshly cracked black pepper works well. A splash of hot sauce at the table lets everyone adjust to taste.
