Garlic Beef and Egg Noodle Skillet

Ingredients

  • 1 poundground beef
  • 8 ouncesegg noodles
  • 4 clovesgarlic
  • 3 tablespoonsoy sauce
  • 2 cupbeef broth
  • 2 tablespoonbutter
  • ½ teaspoonblack pepper
  • ·green onion

    Mince 4 cloves garlic.

Method

    Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 pound ground beef and cook, breaking it apart as it browns, until no pink remains, about 5 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.

    Add minced garlic to the beef and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

    Pour in 2 cups beef broth and 3 tablespoons soy sauce. Bring to a simmer.

    Add 8 ounces egg noodles and stir well. Simmer uncovered for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until noodles are tender and most liquid is absorbed.

    Stir in remaining 1 tablespoon butter and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning.

    Serve in bowls topped with sliced green onion.

Spice Tips

For warmth, stir in 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil at the end. For heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or sriracha to taste. A splash of rice vinegar brightens the savory beef broth.
