Pan-Seared Pork Chops with Apple-Cider Glaze
Ingredients
- 4pork chops (bone-in, 1-inch thick)

- 2 tablespoonolive oil
- 2Granny Smith apple
- ¾ cupapple cider
- 1 tablespoonDijon mustard
- 2 teaspoonfresh thyme (or 1/2 teaspoon dried)
Method

Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Add the pork chops and sear for 5 minutes on the first side without moving them, until golden brown. Flip and sear another 4 minutes. Transfer to a plate.

Pour off all but 1 tablespoon of fat from the pan. Add the diced apples and cook over medium heat for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Pour in the apple cider and stir in the Dijon mustard and thyme. Bring to a simmer.

Return the pork chops to the pan and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes, until they reach 145°F internally. The sauce should reduce slightly and glaze the meat.

Divide the pork chops among plates and spoon the apples and sauce over top. Serve immediately.
