Garlic Butter Shrimp with Creamy Tomato Noodles
Ingredients
- 1 poundshrimp (large, peeled and deveined)
- 8 ounceegg noodles
- 4 tablespoonbutter
- 5 clovesgarlic
- 1 can (14.5 ounce)canned crushed tomatoes
- ½ cupheavy cream
- ·salt
- ·black pepper
- ¼ teaspoonred pepper flakes
- ·fresh parsley

Mince 5 cloves garlic.

Chop a handful of fresh parsley for garnish.
Method

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add egg noodles and cook until al dente, about 6 minutes. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium-high heat. Season shrimp with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Cook shrimp for 2 to 3 minutes per side until pink. Transfer to a plate.

In the same skillet, melt remaining 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, stirring constantly for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Pour in crushed tomatoes and simmer for 4 minutes. Stir in heavy cream and cook for 1 minute more.

Return shrimp to the skillet. Add cooked noodles and toss gently to coat. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste. Heat through for 1 minute.

Divide between bowls and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
Spice Tips
For warming heat without overpowering, the red pepper flakes are already built in. To increase warmth, add another 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes to the sauce. For deeper savory notes, stir in 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano or basil when you add the tomatoes. A squeeze of fresh lemon juice at the end brightens the whole dish.
