Method
- 01
Cut chicken breasts into 1-inch cubes. Season with salt and pepper.

Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Working in batches if needed, cook chicken until golden on all sides and cooked through, about 8 minutes total. Transfer to a plate.

In the same skillet, melt remaining 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- 04
Sprinkle flour over garlic and stir constantly for 1 minute to make a paste.
- 05
Slowly pour in chicken broth, stirring to smooth out lumps. Bring to a simmer.
- 06
Add broccoli florets to the skillet and simmer for 4 to 5 minutes until just tender.
- 07
Stir in cream and return chicken to the pan. Simmer gently for 2 minutes until heated through.
- 08
Remove from heat, stir in parmesan cheese, and taste for seasoning. Adjust salt and pepper as needed. Serve hot.
Spice Tips
For a hint of warmth, add 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes when you cook the garlic. A splash of white wine (1/4 cup) added with the broth deepens the flavor. Fresh thyme or a pinch of nutmeg in the sauce adds subtle depth.
Serve over rice, noodles, or with crusty bread to soak up the cream sauce. Leftovers keep refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheat gently on the stovetop.
