  • 1 headbroccoli
  • 4 clovesgarlic
  • 1 tablespoonfresh ginger
  • 2lime
  • 3 tablespoonsoy sauce
  • 1 tablespoonhoney
  • 2 tablespoonvegetable oil
  • ·kosher salt
  • ·black pepper

Prep

  1. 01

    Mince 4 cloves garlic.

  2. 02

    Mince 1 tablespoon fresh ginger.

  3. 03

Cut 1 head broccoli into florets.

  4. 04

    Juice 2 limes.

Method

  1. 01

Cut chicken breasts into 1-inch chunks. Season with salt and pepper.

  2. 02

Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Working in batches, cook chicken until golden and cooked through, about 6–7 minutes per batch. Transfer to a plate.

  3. 03

Add remaining 1 tablespoon oil to the skillet. Add garlic and ginger; cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  4. 04

Add broccoli florets and 1/4 cup water. Cover and steam for 4–5 minutes until broccoli is tender-crisp.

  5. 05

Return chicken to the skillet. Stir in soy sauce, honey, and juice from both limes. Toss everything to coat and cook for 1–2 minutes until heated through.

  6. 06

Taste and adjust with salt, pepper, or extra lime juice as needed. Serve immediately.

Spice Tips

For gentle warmth, add 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes or a pinch of white pepper when you add the garlic. For more heat, stir in 1/2 teaspoon sriracha or 1/8 teaspoon cayenne with the soy sauce.

Serve over steamed rice or noodles to catch the bright sauce. Leftovers keep well in the fridge for 3 days and reheat easily.
