Crispy Salmon with Chili-Lime Glaze
Ingredients
- 4 pieces (6 oz each)salmon fillets (skin-on)
- 2 tablespoonsolive oil

- 1lime
- 2 tablespoonshoney
- 1½ tablespoonssoy sauce
- 3 clovesgarlic
- ½ teaspoonred pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoonginger

Mince 3 cloves garlic.

Mince 1 tablespoon fresh ginger.
Method

Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Place salmon skin-side up in the pan and cook for 4 minutes without moving, until the skin is crispy and golden.

Flip salmon and cook skin-side down for 2 to 3 minutes until cooked through.

While salmon finishes, whisk together 2 tablespoons honey, 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce, juice of 1 lime, 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, and the minced garlic and ginger.

Pour the glaze over the cooked salmon and toss gently to coat. Cook for 30 seconds to warm through.

Transfer to plates and serve hot.
Spice Tips
For more heat, increase red pepper flakes to 3/4 teaspoon or add a pinch of cayenne. For a milder version, reduce red pepper flakes to 1/4 teaspoon and add an extra tablespoon of honey to balance the soy.
Serve over rice or with steamed bok choy to soak up the glaze. Leftovers keep refrigerated for 2 days.
