Garlic Butter Shrimp with Crispy Asparagus
Ingredients
- 1 poundshrimp (large, peeled and deveined)
- 1 poundasparagus
- 4 tablespoonbutter
- 6 clovesgarlic
- ½ cupdry white wine
- 1lemon
- ·salt
- ·black pepper
- ¼ teaspoonred pepper flakes

Mince 6 cloves garlic.

Trim the bottom 2 inches from asparagus spears and pat dry with a paper towel.

Cut lemon in half.
Method

Heat 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add asparagus, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender and lightly browned. Transfer to a plate.

In the same skillet, add remaining 2 tablespoons butter. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and just cooked through. Do not overcook.

Pour in white wine and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom. Simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly reduced.

Return asparagus to the skillet. Squeeze in juice from the lemon, toss everything together, and taste for seasoning. Serve immediately.
Spice Tips
Add more red pepper flakes for heat, or finish with fresh parsley or tarragon for brightness. A pinch of smoked paprika adds depth if you like subtle smokiness.
Serve over rice, pasta, or crusty bread to soak up the buttery pan sauce. Shrimp cooks quickly, so have all ingredients prepped and ready before you start cooking.
