Garlic Butter Shrimp & Broccoli with Crispy Breadcrumbs
Ingredients
- 1 poundshrimp (large, peeled and deveined)
- 1 poundbroccoli
- 4 tablespoonbutter
- 5 clovesgarlic
- ½ cuppanko breadcrumbs
- 1lemon
- ·salt
- ·black pepper
- ¼ teaspoonred pepper flakes
Prep

Peel and devein shrimp if not already done.

Cut broccoli into bite-sized florets.

Mince 5 garlic cloves.

Heat 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add panko breadcrumbs and toast, stirring often, for 2-3 minutes until golden and fragrant. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Transfer to a small bowl.

Cut broccoli into bite-sized florets. Add them to the same skillet with 2 tablespoons water, cover, and steam for 4-5 minutes until just tender-crisp. Transfer to a plate.

Return skillet to medium-high heat and add remaining 2 tablespoons butter. Add shrimp in a single layer, season with salt and pepper, and cook undisturbed for 2 minutes. Flip and cook another 1-2 minutes until pink and cooked through.

Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the shrimp, stir well, and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Return broccoli to the skillet, toss gently to combine.

Squeeze juice from 1 lemon over everything, toss again. Divide among plates and top with toasted panko breadcrumbs.
Spice Tips
For warmth, increase red pepper flakes to 1/2 teaspoon or add a pinch of cayenne. A splash of white wine or a drizzle of hot sauce at the end adds brightness and depth.
